My idea for Project Two is to create a soundscape revolving around my travel day to California. I want it to start with the sounds of me waking up and then going through my morning routine. This includes showering, brushing my teeth, and making food. I want it to feel immersive but not in a creepy way; I want it to feel like you're hearing a descriptive story. Then, I want to capture sounds of the actual travel, including driving to the airport, maybe some car horns, and then the process of navigating through the airport, which could include walking, random people talking, the sounds of TSA, the tram, just whatever I can find that makes it feel like you are there inside DIA. I also want to try to capture takeoff and landing while on the plane and, if possible, one of those plane rings that everyone knows. I want to try to fade each sound into each other, making the entire travel day feel like a continuous line with no pause between parts and a lot of overlapping sounds, such as me cooking eggs and the coffee machine brewing, or the shower running while I'm brushing my teeth. I feel that this prompt is a fun one because while I get to go through my travel day, I'm also creating something I am proud of, and hopefully, I have a fun time creating this soundscape, and it will turn out well.
