For my Zine, I want to focus on doing my project about the mountains in Colorado and more specifically, ski resorts. My reason for this is that I find myself happiest when I am on the mountain or just in the mountain town. The concept for the Zine is to go through the whole ski day and capture each part of it. I want to maybe briefly start with waking up, then going into my car or making breakfast, highlight the parts of the day which can consist of the peaks of the mountains or steep moguls, and then the drive back. I also want to make a big emphasis on how the mountains make mme feel with the pictures i provide. If this is through using certain colors for certain parts or adding small words to simply describe the situation, I want to incorporate that well. I Want to combine multiple pictures together to make one sigular picture and also have some drawings of rough outlines of mountains or skiers using Illustrator. For the Photoshop part and combining multiple pictures, I want to either layer them or take certain elements out of the photo (for example this could be the chairlift in the photo below with the tram line) and then have that across the picture with maybe a mountain or a sunset in as the background. I am really looking forward to making this assignment because it's not something I would normally think about approaching when I think about creating art.
